Data Privacy Policy 

This Privacy Policy Statement (“Statement”) is made by Logos Education (“Logos”) in accordance with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap.486) (the “Ordinance”).  “Personal data” means any personally identifying information as defined in the Ordinance.

What is Collected and Consequences?

We may collect and retain your personal data, including, your contact details such as your name, title, the name and contact details of your parent/guardian if you are under 18, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number(s), social media handle, images, naming preferences, school details, Interests and communication preferences (including preferred language), comments/feedback, and any business name – “Minimum Details”. 

We also may also collect accounting/financial/payment data if you provide that information when settling our fees. 

Technical and meta data may also be collected by the computer system(s) used to provide the services and updates.

If you choose not to supply any of the “Minimum Details” requested we may in our discretion decline to provide any services to you. In other words, the data you provide or not provide (along with fees paid) will impact:

# what may be provided to you and what you may access or receive

# how we may determine your level of subscription and how we manage your account

# whether and to what extent we may offer you customized or personalized services

# our degree or responsiveness and the time frame for provision

# whether and how we may respond to your requests, comments and any other communications.

You are directly responsible for updating the data provided to us. If we do not have your latest contact details or if there is any issue with your communications service we would not be able to contact you to provide services or update you directly.

When Collected?

This data is collected when you apply for our services or respond to one of our notices, or otherwise write to us, give us information orally, or otherwise update us from time to time to ensure continued communications and/or the provision of services. 

Some data may also be collected automatically by our service provider, when you or your telecommunications device connects with our website and/or accesses materials that we may provide online. This includes but is not limited to your IP address, browser data, operating system, device identifier and other software enabling your device or mobile platform.

What We Do With It?

The data collected will be made available to our principals, consultants and advisors so we may consider your request for services and to carry out normal administrative activities relating to our consulting business.

The data will be used to facilitate the provision of services, the circulation of information or updates about any events, blogs, and videos relating to the services you have applied for and related topics. 

We may also use your data to communicate with you to obtain your views on services we offer or that you wish us to consider offering.  

We may also use your personal data to forward to you direct marketing materials, such as invitations to workshops, events, meetings and or tutorials, whether virtual or in person.  

The information you provide will be stored in our records, our servers and/or email system. Your data may be transcribed or converted into another format for internal administrative purposes.  This information will be kept confidential by us and we will adopt reasonable measure to protect it from unauthorized or accidental access or processing.

The data will otherwise be used to operate our business, to protect the security of our computer systems, and to otherwise protect other legitimate interests.

To the extent that any data is cashed or stored in the database of our communications and technical service providers, or converted by them to other formats for technical processing they will be subject to the practices of those third parties and beyond our direct control. We are not responsible for the technical data collected automatically or otherwise accessed or retrieved by third parties. Those third parties would also be subject to the same laws relating to the collection, use and retention of personal data as we are. 

Legal reasons: We may in our discretion also share data to – 

# satisfy obligations and expectations under any applicable law, regulation, legal process or other legal proceedings

# assist, investigate and/or help prevent security, fraud or technical issues

# protect the rights of our providers or other users.

How Long Data Kept?

We shall retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to provide our services to you and at the latest up until you may request us to delete the data, subject to paying any outstanding fees and subject to official government requirements and accounting practices requirements as to record keeping.

If you have any questions about this statement, or you wish to access the information held by us on you, update your contact details, remove your contact details from our website, or unsubscribe from our mailings, please contact our Data Manager in writing at admin@logos-education.com .

You agree that we may charge you an administrative fee for reviewing any request by you to accessing your specific data and providing that data to you. 

Updates & Agreement

We may supplements the terms of this privacy policy from time to time – by electronic messaging or amending this notice on our website or on social media – as may be required by law, courts or directions/practices from government authorities.

In any event by requesting our services, reviewing our website, making enquiries with us or otherwise interacting with any of our communications/materials you are indicating that you understand and agree with our collection and use of the personal data you provide/communicate to us.
